In over 2 years of learning French with several teachers, I find that Chera is the best at combining grammer with actual spoken French. My proficiency has improved the most since taking her classes. The cultural events she hosts are fun and engaging allowing you to practice with other students while learning some French customs. I highly recommend her for anyone wanting to learn French.

I have wanted to learn the French language my entire life and as a new retiree, the time is now and WOW, the stars aligned because they led me this very excellent and gifted teacher! Learning a new language later in life has its challenges, but Chera is so masterful and clever in how she teaches that not only am I learning the language, but I am having so much fun while doing so! Her technique goes well beyond grammar and textbook concepts, as she weaves in relevant cultural and historical information that give interesting and useful context. Plus, she is a darling human being and I love her positivity and bubbly personality. Next week I excited to start my third session with her, and I look so forward continuing my exploration of this beautiful language!!

Chera makes learning French fun with a crepe party and a name-that-famous-person game. We got to be the crepe chef and the customer. We were taught how to order in French. The savory and dessert crepes were very delicious. I made one to take home! The game was fun too. I let time get away from me. Before I knew it, it was 10 pm.
